
The College of Engineering at UMass Lowell is highly respected for applied research, focusing on real world issues critical to the region and across the world. 
The College has almost 70 full-time faculty, many of whom have received prestigious honors in their field including National Science Foundation CAREER awards. The College is the home to the National Science Foundation-funded Nanoscale Science and Engineering Center for High-rate Nanomanufacturing (in collaboration with Northeastern University and University of New Hampshire), and also the home of the Massachusetts Center of Excellence in Nanomanufacturing.
